We have owned this 20 acre property in Cadell, South Australia for the last 26 years. The crop consists of apricots, pears, peaches, plums, winegrapes and a few vegetables.
In 2005 we decided to become certified with the organics for health reasons and better returns for our produce. We gained our fully certified organic status with NASAA in 2007. We realise now it was the best decison we have made.
Our stonefruit and pears are packed fresh for markets around Australia. The excess fruit not sent to market is cut and sundried. The drying process is very labour intensive. We have ducks roaming the property keeping the snails under control. We use only biological controls when needed.
