Hosking Family Farm – Eggs

Hosking Family Farm is 44ha owned and managed Biodynamically by Brian and Bron Hosking at Rochester, Victoria – Certified Demeter in Conversion.

Purchased in 2022, the Hoskings were able to – with the help of retired Demeter egg producer Ian Onley ‘Bullfrog Gully’ – pursue their dream of becoming Biodynamic farmers.

The chickens have free access to Biodynamic pasture, allowing the birds to forage for their natural diet of grubs, bugs, weeds and grasses (less than 120 birds per ha), and roosting in portable sheds at night. Every few days the sheds are moved along the paddock to new ground, eventually taking a year to complete the journey around the farm.
